## 3. Manufacturing Process at Vikram Cement
The cement production process involves several stages:
3.1 Raw Material Procurement
– Limestone, clay, shale, gypsum, and fly ash are sourced from mines.
– Quality testing ensures raw materials meet specifications.
3.2 Crushing & Grinding
– Raw materials are crushed into fine powder in crushers.
– The raw mix is homogenized in a blending silo.
3.3 Preheating & Kiln Processing
– The raw mix is preheated in a cyclone preheater.
– It then enters a rotary kiln where clinker is formed at ~1450°C.
3.4 Cooling & Grinding to Final Product
– Clinker is cooled in a grate cooler.
– Gypsum is added to clinker before final grinding in ball mills.
3.5 Packing & Dispatch
– Cement is packed in 50 kg bags or transported in bulk via trucks/railways.
